Charity lies at the very heart of Freemasonry, and Lodge Meenakshi No. 269 has carried this spirit forward for many years. Through our collective efforts, we support healthcare, education, and community development initiatives that bring hope and relief to those in need. Our work is not limited to a single cause — it extends wherever we see an opportunity to serve.
Flagship Initiatives
Annual Keeladi Eye Camp

For the past 17 years, Lodge Meenakshi has been part of the Annual Free Eye Camp at Keeladi, organised with SV Trust, local villagers, and Arasan Eye Hospitals. Every year, hundreds of people from rural areas receive free consultations, spectacles, and cataract surgeries. This initiative has restored vision and changed lives for countless individuals who would otherwise have no access to proper eye care.
Madurai Cares

Madurai Cares is a joint initiative of Lodge Meenakshi and Nivethan Trust, created to provide comprehensive and updated information about old age and children’s homes in Madurai. The portal connects sponsors, charities, and local administration with needy homes, making it easier to channel support where it matters most. With hundreds of direct beneficiaries and thousands of lives touched, Madurai Cares has become a bridge of compassion in the city. Check out Madurai Cares Website – https://maduraicares.in/
Rayapalayam Tree Plantation

In November 2024, Lodge Meenakshi celebrated its lodge number by planting 269 trees in Rayapalayam village, Thirumangalam block, Madurai. This green initiative is not just symbolic but a long-term commitment to the environment. Care is being taken to nurture the saplings so they grow into strong trees, creating shade, cleaner air, and a healthier ecosystem for future generations.
