Sports Cycle Charity Project – Supporting Young Talents

The project was graced by our Assistant Regional Grand Master (ARGM), who handed over the cycles to the young beneficiaries with an inspiring and motivational address.

The two students who received the support were:

• B. Madan (17 years)

• B. Preethi (16 years)

Both are studying at St. Mary’s Matric Hr. Sec. School, Woraiyur, Trichy. Coming from a humble background, their father Mr. Baskar works as an agricultural daily labourer without land, while their mother is a housemaid and part of the Government’s 100-day scheme.

Despite financial hardships, Madan and Preethi have shown exceptional talent in sports. They have already won prizes in District Level Competitions conducted by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu and other district-level events. With the cycles provided through this project, they are now better equipped to practice, compete, and represent their school and district at the State Level Competitions.

The project was made possible through the generous contributions of brethren across Madurai. A total of ₹72,310 was collected from members of all lodges in Madurai, ensuring that these young talents can chase their dreams and bring pride to their community.

This initiative stands as a reminder that Freemasonry is not just about fellowship but also about extending a helping hand to nurture future generations.
