On August 15, 2025, Lodge Meenakshi No. 269 joined hands with the people of Keeladi Village, SV Trust, and Arasan Eye Hospitals to conduct a Free Eye Camp.
It was a day filled with hope and healing. A total of 380 patients received eye check-ups. Out of them, 160 people were given free spectacles, and 30 cataract patients were taken to Arasan Eye Hospitals (Karur branch) for surgery.
Adding to the spirit of the event, members of Lodge Meenakshi No. 269 and brethren from other lodges in Madurai graced the occasion. Their presence and support gave strength to the organizing team and encouragement to the villagers who attended.
This is not new for us. For the past 17 years, Lodge Meenakshi has been part of this initiative. Every year, hundreds of villagers benefit, many of whom do not have access to proper healthcare. What started as a small effort has now become a tradition of care, touching lives in rural communities around Madurai.
The smile of a patient seeing clearly again is our greatest reward. This camp is a reminder that true service lies in giving back to society in simple, meaningful ways.
